an answered prayer!

wednesday night was a lot of fun! finally, a place to hang out!
three of the girls in our program, gwen and lexie and caroline, apparently have this AMAZING apartment to stay in for these few months...and they decided to have a house-warming party for it.
let me just say that i am very jealous of their place. they have their own living area, their own kitchen, their own bedrooms...it's just amazing. i really wish it were mine. oh well. here are some photos from that:

krystina and lexie, looking so fancy

gwen and i (my mouth is weird)

another funny/awkward tom & fiona photo

lexie, caroline, dan, blaise and isa (probably mis-spelled those)

thursday morning, i slept in. i woke up around noon, and walked down the street to an Asian restaurant nearby me, which i had been passing by for a while. i got some food...which tasted GREAT, but i felt sick after eating it. i don't know if it's just me...or if i keep picking bad Chinese places...but i'm getting worried. i don't know if i will try another Asian restaurant in Paris. (unless a friend tells me one that they know is good...and sarah claims to know one. so, maybe i'll try it soon.)

riz cantonais & poulet caramélisé

too bad it made me sick...i liked the food.

i went to my history class at 2:00, which was a brain-melter! it's all in French, of course, and it's tough because we have to learn all of the historical terminology (invasions, battles, kings/emperors, etc. etc.) in French! this is going to be a long semester...haha.

then a few of us went out for dinner, like we usually do. we usually have pretty relaxed evenings, which i enjoy. and...i guess that's all for now.

on the way there (i love this area)

waiting for the opposite train, on the way home

- glad to be settling in
