i actually managed to wake up early enough to make it to the 10:30 service at Hillsong Paris Church. it was pretty great...there was a guest speaker named Andrew Hoyes, from Australia, there. he spoke about living a life of breakthrough through prayer and faith in God. great stuff!
oh, just on my way to church. it's ok to be jealous.
i got in trouble for taking this photo. (too bad it's blurry)
afterwards, i went to the Bastille Market...which is huge on sundays, by the way!...to buy things for the picnic i had planned today. the market is pretty amazing, i must say. i had never been awake early enough before to go to it...but now i feel like i should up early on sundays more often!
bastille market = fantastic
then, i went to my little park again...but this time with george, sarah, nana, and kim. we had baguettes, camembert, tomatoes, strawberries, pineapple, beer, a great mousse cake that nana made but it melted, etc. etc. we really had a feast! it was such a great time...we spent a few hours there...in the sun, in the shade...taking photos of eachother and of strangers, listening to music, dozing off for a while here and there. it was another perfect bum-moment. i'm worried that i might be getting too much sun, though. i might need to buy sunscreen soon.

trying to hide from the sun
lol, how cute
i don't know why it turned my photo sideways! ugh.
France is perfect.
we are pretty.
after hanging out there for a while, we crossed the Pont Neuf and walked to the Louvre, through it, and on to the Jardin de Tuileries. we stopped at an outdoor cafe in the garden for some coffee/tea/chocolate milk...and then we got hungry! so we hopped on the subway and went to Breakfast In America. the food was fantastic, as always. i got chili cheese fries! i still have some left over, yum. the only problem was that the waitresses totally botched our check, multiple times. it took so much hassle to finally get it sorted through and pay. they forgot to include my chili cheese fries twice! i seriously could've walked out without paying for them...but i'm a good person. i would never do that. lol.

the song i just learned two days ago! in the subway!
afterwards, nana and i walked to Place Bastille and then parted ways. george and kim went the other way, and sarah had left a little earlier to go meet her cousins. but yeah, that was a very quick/vague recap of what we did today. it was a day of complete relaxation...and i couldn't be happier after a day like today!
- still waiting for airports to re-open
