afterwards, i went to meet with tom and skyler. we got some sandwiches, and ate lunch in the Jardin du Luxembourg. today was the first day that it was actually NICE outside too...so the garden was full of people like us, relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. it was really beautiful...definitely t-shirt weather.

soon after, skyler had to leave to go to Orly and catch a flight back to Lugano. he's a really cool guy...it was sad that i was sick for most of his visit, so i missed a whole day of adventures with them. and it turns out that the night i missed (sunday night) they almost got mugged by the Seine...but these undercover cops saved the day, and they got to beat up some thugs! and then go to the police station with them! man...as scary as that sounds, i'm sad that i missed it. haha. oh well.
later on the in afternoon, i went to CEA for a cheese tasting! that was very informative, and i had 7 different types of cheese, with bread. also, i had some red wine. it was a good "dinner." then, i returned back to my building and didn't really do anything for the rest of the evening. i was going to hang out with a friend, but he's still sick. maybe tomorrow, i hope.

instead...i got a chance to videochat on skype with a few very good friends back home, whom i've missed dearly. first, i chatted with olga for like...forever. over 2 hours, i think. i also got to talk to darius for a little while, and then lastly with rodi for a little bit. it was great getting to see their faces, and catch up on recent events. it definitely aided in keeping my sanity. though leaving here in 2 months will be absolutely devastating, it will be very nice to see everyone i love again.
