i think i found heaven.

i woke up earlier than necessary again today, to run a few more errands...before my history class. after finishing my errands, and before class, i grabbed a sandwich for lunch and sat by the Hotel De Ville to eat it. it was quite relaxing...and the weather is FINALLY looking spring-like here. i am very excited for what's to come.

where i sat for lunch

i guess i'm not the only one excited for the World Cup!

history class was great...because i was freaking out and studying all day, for a history exam that i THOUGHT i had. apparently it's going to take place after spring break. phew, what a relief! so, to celebrate this grace, i decided to go to a random spot that i had seen from far away and always wanted to explore...but never made myself do it. i got off at what seemed like the nearest subway station, and then walked in its direction. i finally found it...and thank God! it's the most perfect place ever...i can see myself spending a lot of time here. that's what i did today...i spent a few hours laying out on the bricks right by the river. i read a lot, took random photos of strangers and scenery, fell asleep for a while, etc. it was great...

is this not GORGEOUS?

duck. taking a rest from swimming.

amazing.

postcard much? i love this photo. (strangers, lol)

i live in a beautiful city.

these two were so cute. i just had to document them.

and then i got home...to find out that a random volcano (with an impossible-to-pronounce name) in Iceland has been erupting so much that the volcanic ash in the upper atmosphere, where planes fly, has caused all airports in northern europe to close. this is no good...considering that Roxy is due to come here in 2 days. i hope that all works out...but i don't know if it will.
(by the way, the reason why they don't want anyone to fly through this volcanic ash is because: when it gets into jet engines, it melts and then catches fire...and explodes...causing the jet engines to blow up. that's pretty scary, i must say. i wouldn't want to fly, even if it was ok'd)

- worried that all was for nothing
