my metro entrance (after a long day,
i really love seeing these names. it's already home.)
yes...it was just another regular monday. i woke up far too early, and sleepily powerwalked to the metro station. the morning commute is becoming more and more tedious for me...which is a good sign. i'm starting to get over the fantasy of living where i'm living, and really see what normal life is like. and yeah, that included crowded subway trains. not much fun at all. anyways, French class was...French class. i learned a lot, but the three-hour classes are really getting to me. i had lunch with tom afterward, before he left to go home for the day. then, i met up with fiona, krystina, gwen, and lexie for lunch...to sit with them.
i'm really getting hooked on these things too...
at least my new addictions aren't terribly unhealthy!
then, after my Phonetique class ended, i headed over to CEA for a little bit. i stopped at a grocery store by CEA on the way home and picked up some groceries. once home, i used some of what i bought to make some extremely delicious mini-sandwiches for myself! i finished off the rest of the bread that i have! i need to go buy more tomorrow, haha.
but yes...the sandwiches: goat cheese on one slice, hummus on the other, and inbetween was danish salami and sliced tomato. they created such an amazing taste together! i think the only thing missing would've been red onions. having those in there two would've made them the best sandwiches ever made, i believe. hmmm, maybe next time!
"cooking", and that's my fridge box...haha
the finished product = heaven
after eating and doing some homework, i headed out to tom's place again. his homestay mom is getting back tomorrow, i believe...so we've been hanging out there for a few nights. it's so great to have a place to go and relax together, without needing to spend money. i wish we had a place like this on the regular. oh, well. it was a nice night nevertheless. we watched a Ligue 2 soccer game on tv (Metz vs Le Havre...and Metz won) and a few random movies in French. haha, we're weird...it's ok, we know.
and that was pretty much it, for the night.
- very excited for this weekend!
"hummus", inside joke: Ramona bought some hummus and wanted me to tast it but hesitated, eventualy gave in and tasted it but do not like it, I dont't know if it is the smell or what but I do love beans. any way you are making me hungry and especialy for the famous french sandwiches. can't wait for your next post Beni. I envy you even thought it is a sin to do that but I don't care. I would love to live in Paris for a couple of years.
