i failed again. i woke up too late. ugh...
anyway, i met up with tom, krystina, fiona, and a girl (esther, from austria) from her building. she's really nice! we went to the northern edge of Paris to visit a massive antique market area called Les Puces de Paris Saint-Ouen. it had some really intriguing parts of it with the most obscure antiquities, home decor, artwork, etc. and also a really grungy outer edge with the same old junk over and over again sold by mostly middle-eastern immigrants. i don't mean that in a derogatory manner...that's just honestly what they pretty much all were.
but we explored that area for a few hours, i believe. i found a few things that i may go back for later on, on my own, and buy if they are still there.
my subway train up to the market (sooo artsy)
tom, exploring
because it was insanely cold and windy that day (every Sunday is, for some unknown reason) we went to this awesome little cafe right by the metro station. we stopped in for tea, coffee, etc. it was seriously the nicest, homiest, little place ever. the owner of the restaurant came up and talked to us, and her big chocolate labrador was just hanging out...walking around and sitting by people's tables waiting for food. she was by us for a while too. her name is Lula, and she's such a cute fat dog. i want to go see her again, haha.
Lula = cutest face ever
then we went back into town, and hung out in fiona & esther's common room. we watched various tv shows in French, while chatting about random stuff. once leaving there in the evening, that was pretty much the end of the day. i spent the rest of the evening doing homework, surfing the web, talking to people, etc.
pizza du chef (it was amazing...i ate it all myself)
