sportslife, and new friends

i woke up really late today (past noon) and quickly ate something small and then headed out to meet up with some people from church for Sportslife, which is the weekly sports activity they do on saturdays. it turns out that today it was soccer! so, i was definitely there. it was on the eastern edge of town, near the Chateau de Vincennes, which is a pretty cool area. it was fun time...even though it was muddy, windy, and very cold. we found some random French teenagers and played against them, and we weren't as terrible as we thought we'd be!

afterwards, we went to McDonald's for some coffee and to chat a little. their coffee here is SO much better than back in the States, by the way. it just is, haha. then, i made a sandwich...since i had pretty much nothing to eat all day. i also lamented over the death of my Samba's too. i need new ones now...

that night, i went to gwen's/caroline's/lexie's apartment to hang out. a bunch of people were there, and i met some friends of gwen's who are actually from emory university! so, i will be hanging out with them when we return to atlanta. also, i met tom's friend, debbie, from school back in Philadelphia. she's really cool, and seriously hilarious! it was an interesting evening, full of the most random conversation. great times...
