such a busy day!

it was an early morning, as all fridays are…i really wish my French class were at 10 am and not 9. but oh well. it still definitely beats how i used to have class in atlanta at 8 am, and waking up at 6:30 for it. but yeah…i was a little bit late to class. the metro was having issues, as it did on the way back from school too. it was annoying that it was taking so long to get to where i wanted to go. but hey, that’s life without a car, i guess.

once i got home and ate some lunch, i left again (this time with michael) to go shopping. we went to some different shops which were all pretty much in the Le Marais area, and then spent a little bit of time at Les Halles. (a pretty huge mall) i also FINALLY got to see the Apple Store in Paris (in the Carousel du Louvre) which i was pretty excited about. it was a tiring day, but it was a good one. after that, we came back and rested.

later that night tom & i went to a little concert at a really tiny venue in the basement of some place in the 20^th arrondisement. it was a band called Sinaloa, and tom kinda’ knows about them from home. it was an interesting show, just very hot down there…and i’m glad it ended pretty quickly. (we also had some Turkish food before going there, which i REALLY loved.)

lastly, tom and i headed back into the city center to meet his roommate in the Quartier Latin. we met a bunch of his friends from Le Cordon Bleu, which i’m excited about. i hope i get to try some of the interesting things they cook. tom’s roommate, ginny, and this other guy (from atlanta!) named corey are apparently (hopefully) going to have a red curry chicken contest…and i think we’re going to judge it. i have no idea when that will happen, but i hope it’s soon. very soon would be ideal. haha.
