two movies in two nights

i slept in pretty late today too…until almost noon. but I really didn’t have anything to do in the morning, so it didn’t seem like a big deal. i went downstairs to make a little something to eat before going to class, and i hung out with clare down there in the common room for a little bit, while working on some last-minute homework. i made a “brunch-like” sandwich with goat cheese, nutella, and strawberry jam. unfortunately, i forgot to snap a photo…but it was delicious. i will take a photo next time.

history class was really interesting, as always. i’m really loving this class! there’s so much that went on in French history that I didn’t have any clue about. and just the fact that i’m learning all of this new historical vocabulary in French is very cool to me. expanding my vocabulary is a big deal for me.

anyways, after class i returned home. i made a really great salad with: diced tomatoes, greens, diced red onions, sliced pickles, diced ham, this great salad-cheese, and a provençal vinaigrette. even though it didn’t take much work, i’m pretty proud of it. haha.

then, my roommate michael invited clare and i to go see this movie with him. sure, two movies in two nights seems like a lot…but this was an exception that probably won’t occur again. actually!...there’s thing thing happening next weekend called the Printemps du Cinema, and they are showing movies for 350, as opposed to the usual 7ish price. i am definitely going to take advantage of that, and watch at least one movie a day. maybe more. haha. but yeah…the movie was called The Ghost Writer, and he had already seen it once…but loved it so much he wanted to go again. so, we went to this really nice theatre near the Opera Garnier. it was MUCH nicer than the one from last night. But yeah…the movie had a great plot. It was very intriguing and suspenseful. the ending is worth watching the whole movie for, too! i recommend it to anyone. and that ended my day on a great note!

michael and claire, on the way to the theatre
