saint patty's day

this was, all-in-all, a great day!

i went with michael to this English-language bookstore called Shakespeare & Company, which i must’ve passed by a dozen times so far…but never noticed it. well, michael loves going there…and he told me that i had to see it. i’m glad i did, because it is awesome! there are so many books! it’s insane. but yeah, i bought a C.S. Lewis book, which i am now enjoying.

inside the store

books-a-plenty

i love the Quartier Latin...

later on, i went with michael and two girls to eat some Vietnamese food for dinner. it was at this place nearby where i live, and it’s called Paris Hanoi. (i think) nevertheless, it was delicious…and not too expensive. so, i will definitely go again sometime.

Arts Et Métiers station

that evening, for saint patrick’s day, i went out with friends. but before that, i went to a connect-group (smallgroup) for Hillsong Paris Church. this German guy, jan, hosted it at his tiny apartment. another German guy came too, holger, and a Brazilian guy named renato. it was really cool…jan made us some soup with baguettes, and some juice. and we discussed what we learned in church a few days before. they have connect groups every other wednesday, so i’m excited for the next one.

yeah, like i said…then I went out. i met up with: fiona, krystina, jordan, tom, caroline, gwen, lexie, sarah, and others. we walked around a lot and observed the chaos, and went into a few places. but i didn’t really stay out very late…i guess i wasn’t into spending a lot of money. anyway, i still had a decent amount of fun.

one of our stops during the evening

jordan and tom (i don't know why his mouth is blurry)

fiona and a girl from her building (nia, i think)

ma crêpe avec noix de coco...mmm...

always good to see this at the end of the night

  1. Shakespeare & Company was a regular hangout of Hemingway's- he wrote about it in "A Moveable Feast"
