i woke up at around noon...went downstairs, had some lunch (yes, it was too late for breakfast) and just worked on some homework. it was a quiet, relaxing day. i had the common room pretty much all to myself as well, which is rare, and nice.
that evening...i met tom, and his friends chloe and sarah, at Forum Les Halles (a big, underground mall) for something called a Master Class. it was basically like...a question-and-answer session about film-making, etc. with two very popular film directors, Jean-Pierre Dardenne and Luc Dardenne. i hadn't seen any of their films before this, but i plan to now! we saw a few short clips from some of their films. their films are very socially-charged pieces, about issues concerning the world and stuff of that nature. it was very intriguing...but also very hard to follow them speaking only in French for roughly 2 hours.
afterwards, we sat at McDonald's for a small dinner/snack, and then met lexie at a place nearby her house to watch the rest of the France vs Spain friendly soccer game. krystina won 2 tickets to it (i am STILL jealous, lol) and she took fiona with her. so, yeah...but Spain won 2-0 anyway. they're a much better team. oh well. the rest of us had a good time watching the last 30 minutes of it, and then staying there a little longer. it was a great night, i'd say.
